The Notions Aisle

The Notions Aisle

I feel like I’m due some kind of major award after surviving four days of Foodcrafting Camp for kids. Alas, I’ll just have reward myself with an extra cup of coffee and an hour of mindless web surfing. Note to self: No. No, you do not want to be a teacher. Ever.

This NY Times interview with Judge Judy is fantastic! “I hate when the liar’s pants don’t actually catch on fire”. Judge Judy is my hero!

Did you know the folks at Dritz have a blog? You probably already have everything you need to make this last-minute 4th of July T-shirt.

I’ve recently become obsessed with circle skirts. Don’t ask me why because I’m not a ‘skirt person’ but if I had a granddaughter to sew for I think I’d make her one of these for every day of the year.

Maybe I’ll just skip Halloween this year and get a jump-start on Christmas. (HA! Just kidding! But this is pretty cute!) You should check out this Crochet Amigurami Tiny Deer Pattern while I check out my yarn stash.

But before I do that, I need to show you this! Yellow + Sunflowers = SUMMER!

We all love our planet and we all know how to sew, so I feel like we should all be making these reusable snack bags. Plus, they’re just cute!

Speaking of Mug Rugs and Hand Embroidery Ideas, check out this Pinterest Board. You’re going to need some ideas for July.

Donna Anderson

Donna Anderson 'works' at Joann Fabrics at 4600 W. Broad St. in Columbus, OH. Just look for the crazy old lady behind the cutting counter. As a kid, she ran with scissors and ate paste. She's since found safer, more creative ways to use her Fiskars and Mod Podge. Next time you're at the store, stop by the cutting counter and have a chat! (Just please don't ask her about lightbulbs!)
