Patriotic Fabrics at Joann – ‘Sew’ many choices!

Just when I thought I had the perfect combination we get more Patriotic Fabrics in!

Unlike most people, I actually look forward to Mondays. It’s exciting because our truck from the warehouse comes in on Mondays and there’s always a lot of new fabrics onboard. (Sometimes I get caught up in daydreaming and Jane has to give me a nudge to get back to work!)

I picked up my Patriotic Fabrics for the Rag Quilt Quilt Along last weekend, and then I was off this past Monday. So imagine my surprise when I came in on Tuesday and found even more Patriotic Fabric had come in! Dang it! There’s a couple of really cute ones I wish I’d added to the mix but I’m going to go with what I’ve got. I liked it when I bought it so… yeah, final answer!

OK, so here’s what I chose:

I want my quilt to be light-weight for summer use. You know… for those days when somebody has the AC set on “Let’s make ice cubes in the living room!”

Anyway… so I chose to use all cotton fabrics for the quilt top. Which was a really good decision, dontcha think, since Joann has all that pretty Patriotic cotton.

I’m also not going to use any batting on this quilt. I’m just going to back it with white Cozy flannel. That will give it a nice rag effect but still keep it light and airy.

Have you picked your fabrics, yet? And do you always second-guess your choices, like I do? 🙂

Don’t forget to get in on the first Giveaway! There’s a $20 Joann Giftcard up for grabs and you could use it to get your fabric for this guilt along!
